Use this page to indicate your intentions to take a club glider away from Pipers.

Overview:
In the interest of fairness to all club members, please use the following form to request a specific Glider for a camp, competition or for coaching purposes away from Pipers.
This request will be routed to both the committee and the training panel for approval. Approval (or otherwise) will be provided after the next Committee and Training panel meetings. Final availability will be locked in 8-weeks prior to your booking date.

Please Note:

Just because someone has booked a glider first, does not mean that no other club members can use it. We need to make sure all members have access to the club's assets.
If you see that someone has booked the glider before you, put your name down here and also contact them to make sharing arrangements.

Conditions of taking a Glider Away:

Gliders booked will require a $500 deposit. This will be refunded once the glider is back at Pipers (and / or credited against usage).
A single person needs to be nominated as been responsible for the operation of the Glider whilst away from Pipers, this includes:

Organising transports to and from Pipers
Correct rigging / derigging of the glider
Safe operation of the glider (both during Ground handling and during flight).

Should the glider be damaged whilst away - based on the circumstances surrounding the incident and the extent of damage the training panel (and committee) may choose to put the deposit toward the cost of repair and/or insurance excess.
Please ensure you are familiar with Rigging and DeRigging of the glider and associated trialer handling. If you are unsure, please ask.
